Don't Mess With WitchesI never thought that my days would be numbered. When you are young like I am, you don't think that way very often. If I every did, I would think of my old Grandmother in her neglected house with her pointy shoes. She seems as old as the earth itself, though I have never asked. If she can live so very long, then I deserve to believe that I can to. However, not everyone takes kindly to the thought of witches living forever.

I was walking through the rain one day after a particularly grueling lesson from Grandmother about the uses of spider venom. The rain was heavy and blurred my vision as
starry sky lashesshe's the girl
with the dark
ebony
hair, and the
blue moon eyes.
the fragile one
with cobweb bones,
alabaster
skin, and an oh-
so-broken soul.
she's the girl with a
deepdark secret, the
starry sky lashes,
and a little cracked
heart made out of glass.
she's the one you
pray you won't be-
come, because her
breath smells of death
and alcohol.
you see the
girl with the
blue moon eyes
and the heart
made of glass,
and say:
not the cobweb bones,
nor the alabaster skin,
no, not even the
oh-so-broken soul
could ever make me love her.

He held her in his arms once more
Lay a gentle kiss upon her crown
Whispered in her ear, so soft
"You're nothing but a common whore"
She raised her head from its place
Where it rested upon his chest
Tapped his nose with her fingertips
And ran her tongue along his lips
"What else would you expect," she asked
"What did you think I would be?
"I've told you that I love you,
"You're the one who's using me."
He ran a hand over her head
He played with the strands of her hair
Cupped her face with his hands
"I don't love you" is all he said
She kissed him then, the softest kiss
That the two of them had ever shared
