I took this photo for my grandma earlier in the year. It was intended for a gift for her birthday. "What do you get the woman who has everything and wants nothing?" "Something from your heart, make it."
Either way; she loved yellow, she loved ladies slippers.
Unfortunately she didn't make it to her birthday, which is tomorrow, so I put this poem on it for her, and it was put on her memorial cards. It's an old Irish poem I guess; but it fit so well.
Her last few months, I took care of her until she was no longer able to stay. I miss her, oh so greatly; but I know, she's with her family again, she's not in pain anymore, and I'll see her again someday.
I read a pamphlet about death days before she passed, When you see a ship on the horizon and it disappears, you say "there she goes", but on the other side of that horizon are others saying "here she comes!"...
to be honest, I teared up when I was writing the comments. I was trying to put more in then I was like okay time to end this now.
